NCC refurbishes 210 apartments outside Copenhagen
/The residential units are situated in the Höjbjerg Vänge district in Herlev, northwest of Copenhagen, and comprise 22 buildings from the 1950s containing a total of 525 rental apartments. The refurbishment is planned in three phases, and NCC has now secured an assignment for the second phase.
“This assignment is a match for our core competency, NCC has extensive experience of refurbishment work, and has solid knowledge capital when it comes to the technical challenges that can arise in this type of project. We have brought together an experienced team for the task and look forward to getting started,” says Catarina Molén Runnäs, Business Area Manager of NCC Building Nordics.
The assignment encompasses refurbishment and remodelling, and includes new roofing and balconies, replacing windows and doors, and a number of new kitchens and bathrooms.
“The plan for Höjbjerg Vänge is a great example of how the architecture and energy efficiency of our older housing stock can be adapted, and how the original values and intentions of the area can be maintained. Through several earlier projects, we have learned that NCC understands the importance of this and we look forward to this cooperation,” says Steen Ejsing, Construction Manager at DAB.
Work will begin in summer 2021 and is scheduled for completion in May 2024.
The assignment is valued at approximately SEK 360 million and will be registered in the second quarter of 2021 in the NCC Building Nordics business area.
