O’Donovan Waste MD Jacqueline O’Donovan made Fellow of the CIWM
/Jacqueline O’Donovan, managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal, London’s leading independent waste management company, has been made a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM).
In achieving this most prestigious status within the CIWM, Jacqueline O’Donovan has demonstrated her experience in operating at the highest levels within the industry. She joins an elite group of 104 industry professionals who have achieved a Fellowship, with the CIWM strongly encouraging further diversity in the sector.
At the helm of the award-winning family business for over 30 years, Jacqueline has grown the company to employ 185 members of staff and operate a fleet of 100 lorries. She has been a leading player in the sector, working closely with Industry bodies and government in a bid to improve the reputation and raise standards across the sector. She is one of the waste sectors’ most passionate pioneers of industry best practice and sustainability, championing a range of ongoing innovative initiatives that prioritises staff wellbeing, health and safety, training and environmental excellence and is widely regarded as an industry leader. The O’Donovan business has invested heavily in waste processing and ensures the maximum is recycled or re-used and demonstrates excellence and commitment to the circular economy by achieving zero waste to landfill.
