Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles extends conversion offering by welcoming two new partners onboard
/Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has added two more experienced van conversion specialists to its award-winning Converter Recognition Scheme, expanding the range of conversion products available to customers.
Clarks Vehicle Conversions and CoTrim have officially joined the scheme, which provides customers with an extended range of off-the-shelf or bespoke conversions while guaranteeing the quality of products supplied directly through Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Van Centre network.
Family-run Clarks Vehicle Conversions, based in Doncaster, has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, and will bolster Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ welfare van offering with the development of a new Volkswagen Crafter conversion to be released later in the year. Welfare vans help support mobile workforces, such as motorway maintenance crews, with self-contained facilities such as a canteen area, seating, and wash facilities.
Salisbury-based CoTrim, which launched in 1994, has worked alongside Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for many years and specialises in crew vans, with conversions available for the Volkswagen Crafter and Transporter, including the Duovan (pictured). Crew vans provide additional people-carrying capacity, while still maintaining a rear load space for carrying tools or materials to and from site.
The two new partners have completed a rigorous certification process, meeting the stringent quality and technical criteria required by the scheme. All conversions completed by any of the 21 scheme partners are fully covered by a warranty that matches the term of the base vehicle warranty, while customers liaise with a single point of contact at their Van Centre for all servicing and aftersales support for a seamless ownership experience. As Integrated Partners, Clarks Vehicle Conversions and CoTrim are required to undergo regular audits to ensure quality is upheld.
Nick Axtell, Specialist Sales Manager for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “As part of our Working With You promise, we are continually looking at ways to improve our products and services, and that includes expanding the number of conversions that we offer through our Converter Recognition Scheme. Both of our new partners have unique specialisms and a wealth of conversion experience that will allow us to continue to deliver the best experience for our customers.”
Conversions available through the scheme include car transporters, cranes, minibuses and mobile workshops, as well as racking, refrigeration, welfare and wheelchair access vehicles, on top of standard Lutons, dropsides and tippers.
