Daikin announces new UK Managing Director

Daikin Europe has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director, Hiroyasu Ishikawa, from 1 April 2022, with Angela McGinlay transferring to a new assignment within Daikin Europe in due course.

Over the last six years, Hiroyasu Ishikawa has already become well known to the Daikin UK team and customer base, in his role as Deputy Managing Director since 2016. He will continue to be supported by Mark Dyer, as Deputy Managing Director, ensuring consistency of leadership at board level.

To provide further continuity, Angela McGinlay will remain as an advisor to Daikin UK during the transition period, before returning to Daikin Europe where she has worked within the HQ and affiliate network in senior management roles for several years.

Of his new role, Hiroyasu Ishikawa says, “Daikin UK is a great team – and I am honoured to accept the opportunity to lead our company in its ambitious growth plans. Together we will achieve market leadership in the commercial sector and outpace the exciting growth anticipated in the residential sector, while reducing the environmental impact of our products and operations.”
