We are delighted that from the the 1st July TrustMark will be taking over responsibility of Technical Monitoring for the Energy Company Obligation. We are well placed to monitor ECO measures which from this date will be subject to TrustMark’s Quality Assurance Framework.

Within our Framework all TrustMark registered businesses are required to meet a set of standards around conduct, technical competence, and customer service. To ensure a high quality of workmanship and trading practices TrustMark runs a programme of desktop and on-site inspections. Where we identify a need, we also work with TrustMark registered businesses through their associated trade scheme to drive improvements.

Consumers who use a TrustMark Registered Business to get work done in and around their home are using a business that is signed up to meet standards around: technical competence, a detailed code of conduct and a high standard of customer service. If work completed does not meet these standards there is also a TrustMark dispute resolution process in place.
We are also pleased to announce as part of this expansion of our quality assurance service we have contracted Bierce Surveying Ltd, specifically to support the delivery of our on-site audits.

Simon Ayers, CEO, TrustMark said “As a not-for-profit social enterprise we were set-up to increase the protection in place for consumers and drive-up standards of work done in and around the home. Working with Bierce Surveying Ltd will expand our quality assurance programme to include ECO Technical monitoring. Which in turn will further inform our work with industry to highlight good practice and were necessary improve standards”.

Neil Bowles, Quality Assurance & Surveying Director of Bierce Surveying Ltd, added: “Bierce is delighted to be working with TrustMark to deliver part of the TrustMark quality assurance monitoring programme. Our passion for quality and consumer satisfaction matches that of TrustMark”.
